Our operating systems division is investigating usability issues related to operating systems. Our belief is that true usability can only be built upon the foundation of an operating system that has conceptual clarity at every level of abstraction. It is not enough to hide the "complex internals" with glossy interfaces.
Our platforms division is undertaking research into cross-platform development. Our aim is to produce a set of general purpose, cross-platform libraries that allow write-once, compile/run-many development in programming languages that have been traditionally non-platform portable, e.g. C, C++.
Our security division is continuing research in enterprise security management.
Our tools division is developing cross-platform, multi-language software tools that facilitate the software development process.
Our web systems division is developing a light-weight web-application framework.
